First of all, Happy Labor Day. Whether it’s spent at a barbeque, the beach, or working, I hope you have a great day. These last few weeks have met me with some challenges that are making me appreciate Labor Day even more.
For those who have seen, I have updated my website to include bulk ordering inquiries. This came about with a lot of thought, was I really ready to take on large orders and be able to pull through for my clients? The answer to that, is YES!
I have just wrapped up my first order for a company gift. Thirty-six hard coozies engraved with a company logo. What was the hardest part? Making sure my test cup worked correctly…and of course figuring out how to center the company logo in comparison with the coozie logo. All things that I hadn’t quite come up with a firm guideline on how to do that.
Thankfully, I had some extra time at home the past week…thanks to an illness. Somehow, a plan just clicked in my head on how to get these coozies to come out perfect. And much to my surprise, my first test cup, came out just as that, PERFECT! This was a huge win for me and gave me a lot of confidence in my engraving game. I have always been the type of person to go for something, hence the small business and hence the blogging (something I am not usually comfortable doing!).
As I sit here and click “Mark Order Ready for Pick Up” I can’t help but smile, and think about the relaxing time I have planned for the weekend. All the hard work the past week to complete this order, and start planning on my next order, wedding coozies…makes a long weekend at the beach worth it.
So, with that, keep on exploring your interests, and even if you don’t feel comfortable doing something, I have learned sometimes its best to just dive on in.
